About The Troy-Bilt Company

Troy-Bilt’s roots goes back to 1937 when they first began as a company. They are established in America and have locations in different states. Their lawn mower products consist of the following categories:

Troy-Bilt’s motto is “Built for Life”. All of their lawn mower products are produced and manufactured in America. They are headquartered in Valley City, Ohio and have other locations in Arizona, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Kentucky.

Part of their process is coming up with innovative features like the TriAction cutting system that’s on all of their walk behind mowers.

Here is how the TriAction Cutting System works:

  • Rake Guard – Before the grass even meets the blade, it passes through the rake guard. This stands grass upright, so every blade is cut perfectly.
  • S-Blade – S-Blade as grass passes under the cutting deck, creates an even cut, while also creating lift for better circulation. It also extends to the sides of the deck to create a wider cut.
  • Symmetrical Deck – Another key feature on Troy-Bilt walk-behind mowers are the cutting decks, which are stamped in a symmetrical circle. This completely smooth surface creates a strong vacuum that allows grass clippings to circulate freely for better mulching and easier discharging.

These three features work together to create a clean, even cut every time. The TriAction cutting system comes standard on all Troy-Bilt walk-behind mowers.

Walk Behind Lawn Mowers

Troy-Bilt’s walk behind mowers come in two types, push and self-propelled. We cannot recommend any non self-propelled push mowers as they don’t meet our standards. The self-propelled models that we can recommend are listed below. Just click on the model link you are interested in and you will be directed to that section.

Each of these models will have their features and specifications so you can examine them and compare the specs with  other models to determine which model is best for your mowing needs. Some models come with Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) and Front Wheel Drive (FWD). You will have to select the model that fits your yard condition. Front wheel drive mowers work well on flat terrains. Whereas rear wheel drive mowers perform well on hilly terrains.
